I have been searching for a sub as I hate tuna (the real kind) but love love love tuno!!! I was dismayed to learn of the horrendous act of ridding our world of a fabulous tuna replacement that without a doubt is the best of its kind….i have tried others and they are cloying and repulsive….they simply do not measure up to tuno…how do we spur your attempts at having tuno reintroduced to the veg world again… it is a shame that we are loosing meat replacements as becoming a vegetarian is growing and I know several people who through no religious affiliation have become vegetarian…

I used to buy Tuno in my home state Puerto Rico! Even in normal supermarkets it was a success. Maybe the tuna makers pay them?

Keep laughing at us so-called “losers”, who were banished to the “friend zone” because we could not be who we were supposed to be, ad you will soon be laughing at yourself!
The love doll will not criticize him after a day at work or feel that having sex with him is beneath her or feel the need to “challenge” him ( since that is really so very

I don’t buy the “it didn’t sell” thing. It was always sold out when I ordered it and I usually had to wait. It seems as if Morningstar Farms bought them out to eliminate competition for their products, because they didn’t adopt most of the other foods that were in the line. The original company that made Tuno made a lot of other products that were great, harder to find vegetarian options. Now that Morningstar Farms bought them, those products are gone too. I wrote to Quorn and asked them if they would develop a tuna substitute. If Morningstar Farms won’t release an option, then let’s encourage their competition to do so. In the meantime, those who have some cans in their pantry, could you please post the ingredients list here so we can maybe take a crack at trying to create our own version of it at home? Thanks!

I tried Tuno for the first time at least 4 yrs ago..Then I Moved States.
Every ‘New store I went into I checked the aisle, Hoping to find the stuff.
Sometimes even spending a good 5-10 min. just looking next to all the tuna products.
Very Upset there not making it.
I’m Writing Morningstar next now that I know they bought the original company that made it out.

Your dog is absolutely gorgeous! I was looking for other dogs that were the same cross as mine, and I was surprised to see one that had a very similar body shape/coat length! While yours clearly has the border collie colors, mine ended up with more basset-y features.

I very much miss Tuno as well. Seems all the products that I like were removed. A very very good vegetarian beef stew made by Worthington was discontinued too. They still make a good Chili product also available

Damn I’m going vegan and the fish is the last thing I am switching. Was really hoping to try tuno and find that it was the perfect substitute but looks like I’m SOL. With so many of the fish in the world being depleted I would think this product would be more in demand. Hope they start remaking it. Thanks for posting this!

Just wanted to voice my shared disappointment of lack of Tuno on the shelves. Have you also noticed how much more expensive the products have become since the take over? And by the way Cedar Lake foods is no longer making their version either. Bummer.

Hi – I did not realize there were so many people that were vegans and was looking for this product. Frozen Tuno Rolls were the best. I’ve had the can also and it was not that good, but the tuno roll was awesome, not for tuna salad but for putting in your gumbo to give it the fish taste, it was great. I really don’t understand why they would discontinue this product. With so many vegans today and people searching to eater better, I think it is a shame that we need to beg for food, not that you don’t pay for it because all the foods that are good for you you pay dearly for them. Everyone tells you that you need to eat healty but this is very discouraging when you look on the list especially those like Kelloggs, Worthington & Loma Linda because they are the ones that know about the Health Message as to how you should eat and their discontinuing list is larger than anyones. This is why a lot of people start out trying to be vegan and goes right back.
I sure hope someone would come up with the tuno roll that taste like the Worthington tuno roll. As for the tuna salad, I’ve found that at the ABC Bookstore in Atlanta and It really did not have a fish taste at all to me, I guess if I wanted it as a tuna salad, it might be ok, I don’t know. I don’t think that was discontinued because I just bought it about a month ago.

I too am a fan of Tuno. I live in Ohio and will make atrip to Mt Vernon to try the Cedar LAkes version. If it’s half as good it’ll be delicious
