Punk Ass Bitches

Last Friday I try logging into Bank of America to check my credit card status. Instead, I get a “fraudulent activity detected, please call this number” message. I call the number, and there are three charges totaling $80 to “Blizzard Entertainment.” Some little shit was using my card to play World of Warcraft!

After spending at least an hour getting transferred from place to place, I guess it’s sorted out. The charges are being fought, and that account has been closed. My new card is in the mail. And I have no idea how I was “frauded” in the first place. But I did get five odd messages from eBay about my card being used – apparently with different accounts.

Bah. I thought online credit card fraud only happened to the tech-inept and the elderly!

Untill just an hour ago, I had never heard of “Blizzard Entertainment”. My credit card company called me to determine if my credit card was being used fraudently based on 3 charges to “Blizzard Entertainment” and a few other charges including several authorization “tests”. My account is now being assigned a new number and I’ll receive the new card in a week or two.

Same thing happened to me, just found out Tuesday. Bank of America and Blizzard Entertainment seem to be a common theme. I’ve found many instances of the same fraud charges in this forum

sounds like a huge unacknowledged problem
