I had a few lines in today’s Ithacan. They sort of fugged up my blog’s name, but at least my own name was spelled right. It was enough to inflate my ego a bit. Otherwise, this week is almost over. Today I’ve been running back and forth, trying to get the library to remove its figurative head from its ass and stop billing me for late fees on DVDs that I returned on time.
Anyone who comes here because of The Ithacan article will probably be sorely disappointed. Ah well.

I don’t see the error in your blog name…?
Turned in on time, eh? Just like that book you swore you turned in?
Well, the “the life and politics of” part is sort of a byline.. Wait, let me look up byline.. .. No, not really a ‘byline.’ But I mean, the real, main name is just “white male consumer.”
It’s not important. Just something that.. I… slightly winced at. Just overly critical of my part.
And I totally turned these DVDs on time. It’s not even like the book.
I think you mean tagline, now I get it.
sorry about that, i originally had just “white male consumer” but because at the top of your site you do have the tag line, i thought i should include it. um, did you know we live in the same tower? apparently you know annie jacobs… good friend of mine. anyway, i apologize again.
Ha, it really doesn’t matter. Article turned out great.

I love the title to your blog. Considering you were mentioned in Ithaca college’s newspaper, I assume you have some good knowledge of Ithaca. Currently Ithaca is developing a community wiki. Due to your knowledge about upstate new york and specifically Ithaca, I just wanted to encourage you to edit the website, which can be found at http://www.ithaca.wikispot.org. You can even add a link to your blog on the blog page. If you have ever lived in a town with a well developed wiki, you probably know just how useful a resource it is (it often literally replaces google for anything town related, but is also more personal and community oriented). Ithaca is the perfect size and has the perfect culture for a very useful wiki to develop. Thanks for your time, and for posting such a great blog.
Even though I’m out of Ithaca at this point, I like to keep ties and will definitely keep tabs on the wiki. Thanks for the notice!
