This Is It!

I can feel it, this format is going to stay! It’s just so great, I spent basically all night! I’m sooo cool, eh? Ok, I’m trying to keep this web log half-ass professional, so I’ll can the hysterics. But please, tell me how you like the new format. I was finally able to include a picture of our fearless leader, a big plus on any page in my opinion. Plus, he’s wearing a fuzzy pimp-coat now. It’s awesome, I know. Expect some good essays, rants and mindless rhetoric shortly.

I want to try and publicize my blog a bit now. I’ve established it, with two months of posts, and now I finally have a great format (admit it). So I’m going to put it out there on the world wide web, and let the unwashed masses flow in! Because god knows I’m not really pulling in the readers right now. So we’ll see about that.

I continue to read other people’s blogs, and find it very interesting. For instance, occasionally I’ll get on some random blog ring, of say, Ithaca students, and get a window into their daily lives. Whether they’re going through a slump, or ‘had a great time last night,’ you can read it all. If they regularly post, you can watch their mood over the course of several days, or a week. And I have no idea who they are. I’d almost be interested in taking psychology or sociology classes, but resist.

Firstly I can’t ‘waste’ too many credits, next year I’ll basically only have one class to choose, the rest are already chosen (3 writing / politics classes, each semester, until I graduate, to get 2 BAs. I figure it’s worth it, paying the same amount, might as try for that ‘wow factor’ when people ask for credentials or whatever. And then, starting next year, I’ll have to begin to fulfill my foreign language requirement. Language I’m trying this time? German). Unless I want to take 18 credits a semester, which I’ll also probably have to do at one point or another. Another factor is that I’d likely hate a psychology / sociology class. The last thing I need to learn about again is penis envy, you know? It’s a pretty basic concept. Maybe I’m severely deluded (probably am) but human behavior on a small scale doesn’t seem that complex or mysterious.

Perhaps it’s my outside perspective on my fellow man. Alienated you say? Never.
