Of course, this time it’s transparent garbage from the BBC, my media darling. Oh well.
Worldwide protests mark Iraq war

“In New York, thousands marched through central Manhattan…”
Thousands?! Is that the best estimate they could come up with? There were tens upon tens of thousands, I heard someone say 100,000, that might have been an overestimate.
“In Europe, one of the biggest protests was in Rome, where up to 300,000 marchers jammed the streets.”
Again, I heard almost a million in Rome. It was an early estimate that a guy on my bus heard, but..
“In New York City and Chicago – where two of the biggest rallies took place…”
Didn’t they just estimate the crowd at NYC in the “thousands”? I mean, they weren’t sure enough to even say tens of thousands. Then they said Rome had 300,000? So what does this mean – they are ignoring Rome here, or what? Hmm.
“…security was tight, with dozens of police officers overseeing protesters.”
What the hell?! Dozens of police officers?! I personally saw at least a thousand seperate officers with my own fucking eyes.
Whatever. I’m tired, I walked way too fucking much today, and I only got 3 hours sleep tops last night. I ran out of film way too early (including missing a prime opportunity of police violence), but I’ll try to get them developed, and then I’ll scan and post some good ones.

Hong Kong

were you counting them? in my town the media actually overreported our protests which was awesome but they reported on counterportests to which sucked
