So Put a Quarter in Your Ass because You Played Yourself!

Last night was cool, I was able to snag a ride back to campus, so I didn’t have to leave [early] for the 1am bus.

I really hate the bus schedule in Ithaca. Why isn’t there night service? For chrissakes, they could do a massive loop from IC, to downtown, to Cornell. Like they do in the evenings. It’d require maybe two busses tops, to provide service practically everywhere.

Meh, but whatever. So last night I went to.. As far as I can tell, a Cornell pad. It was on east hill, and I didn’t initially know anyone – especially the people who lived there. But a lot of IC people showed up, it was a cool scene. Had fun.

There’s this one kid that I see almost everywhere, and he always gets wicked sloshed. He’s an int’l student from Jamaica. But I remember the first time I met him, last year, I called him an asshole. Ah, it was great, first time I ever even saw him. But he knows me as “Sarah’s friend,” since I was agreeing with Sarah (all good-natured fun, of course).

I feel good today, but it’s kinda hot and humid. Bleh. I am getting really hungry, but.. Didn’t feel like getting up early and eating breakfast.

Oh, and the big news as of late, is that I’m officially the webmaster of the film portion of an HIV/AIDS conference in Nigeria, next year. Woot!

A good position, where I will be able to work at my own pace. I’m glad that they were looking for someone, and I’m glad that (hopefully) I’ll be able to do it.

The conference is the International Conference on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in Africa. I’m still not sure whether we then get to attend, free of charge, or not. I sincerely hope so, but I really don’t know at this point. If not, then I probably won’t be able to attend – registration for int’l students is $150 alone, I think. Not to mention airfare and accommodations.

But hopefully we’ll have our ways paid for us. I mean, come on! We’re already volunteering all of our time! For fucks sakes!

Along with this venture, I have to talk to a few friends, perhaps for some help I might need occasionally. If you can help, then I’m talking about YOU.
