Just A Post!

Wanted to post, so everyone knows that I’m alive. Trying to decide whether I should keep this wordpress blog, or switch over to something a bit different. I’m siding with keeping this, at the moment.

Got a new lense for my camera for my birthday. Three more days and I’ll be 20. The excitement of birthdays has worn off. Just an excuse to hose my parents for an expensive gift or two. Ah well.

Here’s a picture of the lense. It’s a 75-300mm zoom, Canon. It has USM (ultra-sonic motor), for quick, quiet autofocusing. You can’t tell from the picture, but it’s pretty big. Penis envy, anyone? Twice as long as my 28-90mm lense, and it weighs just as much, if not more, than my camera (Canon Rebel Ti)

It’s a bit slow, but I absolutely love the range. I need to get the film that I’ve shot with it developed. Then I have to scan some more of my pictures and put them on here. I decided that Hannaford sucks at developing film, and that Fujifilm sucks. Either / or, who knows, but I’m going to only use Kodak and CVS processing from now on – I was really dissapointed with my last couple of rolls from Hannaford.

I need to work on my photography skills now. Also, eventually, I’ll want to get a macro lense, and a remote switch. Perhaps a better tripod also – the one I’m currently using is for our camcorder.

Oh, and I got some new glasses also! My other birthday present, I suppose. With an eye exam, the bill was 300 fucking dollars!! Jesus. But they are pretty cool, ultra-lightweight frames, with the lenses that change color in bright light. Green. They’re actually pretty cool, I’m satisfied.
